muji spice book
Traveling with your spice rack is not ideal. This is why Japanese company, Muji, has made a book of spices to make flavoring your food while away from home a little bit easier.
This book from Muji is full of pages that are made of spiced paper, which dissolve from the heat and moisture of cooking. Now that kick of white pepper or red chili is just a tear away. And, since it is compact and perfectly portable, the Muji spice book is ideal for when you’re traveling!
"You two have managed to accomplish something together no one ever has; you surprised me.”
I’ve been fucking waiting for this photo set right here, and let me tell you why. Monsters University quickly became my favorite movie due to a single fact, that these two? They failed. They actually went to school and they failed, they didn’t get brought back in, they didn’t make a miraculous come back at the end, they fucking failed College.
But that didn’t stop them. Through hard work, perseverance, and taking opportunities that came a long instead of just settling for where they were at, they were able so still make it to where they wanted to be.
That is super powerful, it gives you hope, knowing that college isn’t the only way. Because you know what? It isn’t, you don’t have to go to college to get to where you want to be or to be happy. You just got to take chances, take opportunities, swallow that fear and do things to help change your life for the better. If you believe college is it? Fantastic! Go for it!
However, remember: Life is never over if you fail something. You just got to look for opportunities to bring yourself back up.
This whole movie was veiled commentary on getting hired in the animation industry from people who actually went through it lol.
The line "they’re always hiring in the mailroom" is something they really say around Disney (and Pixar and other studios).
Any animation graduate will tell you it’s very difficult to get hired, particularly at big feature studios like Disney or WB. There is A LOT of competition and it’s easy to get discouraged. You WILL be turned down, you WILL fail.. at first.
The trick is to be tenacious.
The trick is to get your foot in the door however you can.
This usually means taking jobs within your ideal studio (hopefully) but outside of your ideal job, such as janitorial work or other menial positions. A couple of my old professors actually DID start out in the mailroom at the studios in Burbank.
Working in these jobs gives you the opportunity to meet people and make connections. Like many industries, it’s ALL about who you know. From there you can branch out and hopefully work your way into the job you wanted all along.
Mike and Sulley failing school and getting their start in the mailroom isn’t a random storypoint, it’s something that actually happens in the industry.
kinds of pairings i’m all about
- height differences
- high contrasting designs like light and dark colors
- happy one with the grumpy one
bonus points if
- the grumpy one gets embarrassed by kisses
- the short one is the grumpy one
- the happy one’s presence makes the grumpy one really shy

This is your daily reminder that Azeroth is not medieval earth and the Light is not Christianity.

Someone at the Wisconsin Humane Society is really good at naming cats.
If you’re not upset about Katniss, Tonto, or Khan being played by white people, but you are upset about Annie being played by a black girl, you’re probably racist.
And by probably I mean definitely.
